What is the Meaning of Baptism?
Baptism is a symbol of the work of the three persons in the Godhead providing us eternal life.
- Matthew 28:19 “Make disciples…baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
Baptism is a symbol of our faith in Christ’s burial and resurrection for a new life as a Christian.
- Colossians 2:12 ”…having been buried with Him in baptism and raised with Him through your faith in the power of God, who raised Him from the dead.”
- Romans 6:4 “We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead…we too may live a new life.”
Baptism is a symbol of the washing and renewal of our belief in Christ.
- Titus 3:5 “...He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit...”
