Celebrate Recovery

The Purpose

The purpose of Community Bible Church’s Celebrate Recovery Ministry is to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the “8 Recovery Principles” and the “12 Steps.”  This experience allows us to be changed.  We open the door by sharing our experience, strengths, and hopes with one another.  In addition, we become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our life problems.   By working the Christ-centered steps, and applying their biblical Principles, we begin to grow spiritually.  We become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors.  This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others.  As we progress through the Principles and the Steps, we discover our personal, loving, and forgiving Higher Power – Jesus Christ.

What's New

We are currently looking for individuals to fill LEADER and CO-LEADER roles in this ministry. 

Leader and Co-leader Requirements

 

To be a leader or co-leader there are certain requirements that must be met:

1.  You MUST have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

2.  You must have at least one year of abstinence from your addiction.

3. You MUST be a MEMBER of CBC having completed the Connection I class.

4. You MUST be willing to make a commitment to a leader or co-leader role.

5. You must have already completed or you must make a commitment to complete Connection II, Connection III and Sheperd Leadership Training within the next twelve months.

If you do not meet the minimum requirements for a ministry leader or co-leader role at this time, but you are interested in serving in the Celebrate Recovery Ministry at CBC, the following ministry service opportunities will be available in the future:

1. Greeters/Ushers
2. Worship  
3. Information Table
4. Newcomer Orientation
5. Website Development and Maintenance
6. Promotions
7. Fellowship Events
8. Sound and Media
9. BBQ/Dinners
10. Teaching
11. Communications
12. others as they are determined
