Forget Me Not

Philippians 3:13-14 “But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

Dear CBC Family,

This email contains some important information so please read carefully.

I spent a few hours with our attorney yesterday working on the verbiage for the bylaw changes. We should have an elder approved version for your review next week. I will email you and then post the changes on the church’s website. I will make sure all the changes are highlighted in yellow so they are easy for you to see. After reading them please call me if you have any questions or concerns.

On Saturday, August 22nd we will make available to our church attenders, or members, any of the excess tools, lights, fixtures or supplies that the church does not need. We have cleaned out 6 bins and found all sorts of items that we wanted to give you the first opportunity to take anything you can use. After this date the remainder will be sold or donated to other organizations that have a need. How often can you get free stuff that isn’t junk? Everything will be in the parking lot so come by and help yourself.

Please remember that the men are still meeting via Zoom every other week. If you are available on Saturday mornings and want to start the weekend off with the Men's Roundtable, why not give it a try? Contact Cory Frank via the church office.

This weekend we will be continuing in Romans 7 in a very special message I am calling “Forget Me Not”. I believe that it will help many people learn to live more consistently in the new man, and not the old. It doesn’t get much more practical than this! We also will be sharing in communion together on the video service. If you haven’t tried the live service yet why not give it a shot? It’s a whole different dynamic meeting outside. I am enjoying it very much and I think you will as well. We are very safe and practice all the mandates because we care about you and our witness to the world.

I am praying through our entire membership by name and, as God leads, asking Him to fulfill specific promises to each of you. I love the fact that He brings different promises to mind for each of you. He loves you all so much! We will all get through this together so hang in there.

Be safe my dear friends,

Pastor Scott
