The Weapons of our Warfare!

2 Cor 10:3-5 “For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.”

Dear CBC Family,

I wanted to invite you all to Gwynyth Brown’s memorial this Friday at 4:00 pm. If you are available, I am sure that Lloyd and the family would appreciate the support. I am reminded of Isaiah 57:1 which says “The righteous perish, and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.”  We will all miss Gwyn but we will see our sister again on the great day of Jesus Christ.

Saturday morning is the pancake breakfast raising funds for the youth camp. If you have not yet gotten a ticket, and still wish to come, then just contact Danny at the office. It should be a great time of food and fellowship.

This weekend we will press into chapter ten of second Corinthians. In this text Paul instructs us in spiritual warfare. While many people see this passage as how a Christian fights against the world to win the lost it really is a passage that instructs how Christians fight for Christians deceived by the world. That is a substantial difference! Join us as we enter into “boot camp” and learn the weapons of our warfare. Unfortunately, some who name the name of Christ fight using the weapons of the world. This passage is full of divine wisdom and instruction. I pray you will be able to join us. Bring a friend who needs to know the ways of the Lord.

Don’t forget to check the calendar for all the upcoming events and opportunities. There is much to participate in if you are looking to get involved.

Blessings,

Pastor Scott
